Filipina lady, 29-year-old Tina Tee, had always been afraid of stray dogs since she was a child. Her mom and dad warned her to stay away from them as they bite. But she had no idea her life would be dedicated to rescuing and caring for the adorable animals.

When she met her boyfriend, 48-year-old Greg Wells from Austrialia, her whole outlook changed completely.

Greg completely adores dogs and soon he changed her mind that they are harmless. As their relationship blossomed, together they grew passionate about protecting the welfare of stray dogs.

“I was really trying to get away from them. But he said, ‘No! They do not bite. They need our care.’ Look at me now, I love dogs,” Tina said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Greg and Tina adopted their first stray dog back in 2016, when she spotted one roaming the streets of Cebu. The couple were saddened by her poor condition so brought her home and named her Tyra.

Slowly, they adopted more, and have even opened up their very dog “island sanctuary” on Bantayan island. Now they are looking after 106 furry friends, and that’s only the beginning!

“We set up (the sanctuary) because of necessity to help homeless animals on Bantayan Island… that expanded when we started finding dogs crammed in cages with no food and water, ” Greg said in an interview with CDN Digital.

What an amazing thing to do! They work tirelessly daily so that they can give the pooches all the care and love they deserve.

Check it out! The impressive sanctuary has a quarantine area for sick dogs, a pet cemetery, and composting corner for dog waste.

The adorable couple love very single one of the dogs, and see them as part of their family. Aww!

“They are like our children already,” Greg said.

Looking after dogs has even strengthened Tina’s relationship with Greg, she said.

Every dog deserves some love!

Now, Tina is appealing to the public to be pleasant to stray canines.

“(Our) message is to adopt a rescued dog. They are beautiful and amazing and so loving. If (you) can’t adopt, be nice to street dogs, feed them and give them water,” Tina told CDN Digital.

Keep up the incredible work, Tina and Greg!
