Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa has shaved off his beard and his fans are completely freaking out. Jason and his impressive beard have become a familiar sight on our screens. So now that he’s bare faced, fans have lost it and don’t know what to do with themselves.
Jason made the shocking reveal on Instagram, as he posted a clip of himself giving himself a trim in a remote desert location.
He certainly knows how to get our attention! Just why has he shaved off his facial hair? It turns out it’s all for a very good cause—to promote aluminium recycling.
“Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA…I’m SHAVING this beast off, It’s time to make a change,” Jason wrote on the social media site.
“A change for the better…for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet.
The actor shaves while he wanders through the desert which is covered in plastic. At the same time, he promotes the use of aluminium.
“Let’s clean up our oceans our land. Join me on this journey. Let’s make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminum. Water in cans, not plastic. #ChangeisComing,” the 39-year-old American actor added.
The issue of single-use plastic pollution must mean a great deal to the star, as his magnificent beard took a staggering seven years to look as incredible as it did.
“I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastics are ruining our planet, and I think I have a solution,” he tells his fans.
“There’s only one thing that can really help our planet and save our planet as long as we recycle, and that’s aluminum. It’s 100 percent recyclable.”
“I’m shaving this beast off, it’s time to make a change,” Jason continues.
He tells his loyal fans that 75 percent of aluminium that has ever been used in the world is still in circulation to this very day.
“A change for the better…for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet.”
“Let’s clean up our oceans, our land. Join me on this journey. Let’s make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminium,” he added.
