A single mom-of-three, Krystal Preston, received the most amazing and unexpected gift of all from her 13-year-old son William Rabillo—a car.
The Prestons are from Fernley, Nevada. The single mom is single-handedly raising William and two of his siblings and three family dogs, but life had been extremely difficult as they didn’t have a car.
Her eldest son William understands the family struggle and often mows the lawn and cleans yards for his neighbourhood to earn extra cash to help his family.
The kindhearted boy even decided to get his mom a white 1999 Chevrolet Metro to ease her burden, and even sold his beloved Xbox to be able to afford it. He was inspired by others who do good deeds for their parents!
“I saw on Youtube where people get their mom a car and then surprise her with it. I wanted to do that,” William told KOLO,
He went on Facebook to search for car advertisements and contacted one owner, Kimberly.
“It was really cheap so I asked her if I could trade it for my Xbox or earn it, and at first she said no, and then she thought about it, and then she said yes,” William added.
You know a boy is serious and sincere if he is willing to give up his Xbox to help his family! He must love his mom a lot.
When Krystal found out about the car, she was in shock.
Krystal wrote on Facebook, “I have no words rights now that can express how I am feeling at this moment. I’m in complete shock.
“The last couple of weeks have literally been hell filled with so many tears, anger, confusion and heart ache. Today I got the shock of my life…”
At first, the single mom was in disbelief even when the car owner was ready to pick them up to collect the car.
“And much to my surprise I go in my front yard and OMG there is a woman standing there and as William said she was giving us a ride.
“William jumps in the car so I’m like ok?? This is some kind of joke right. No one speak really,” she explained.
When they arrived at Kimberly’s house and William told Krystal the car was hers, she said she “completely lost it”.
“I started balling my eyes out… I am speechless my 13 year old son bought me a car. He did some work for this woman and that was his payment that he worked out with her.
“And here I thought it was a joke… Nope I was handed the keys and paperwork to the car and I’m freaking out but so in shock like OMG this is happening right now. So we got into the car it started right up and off we went.”
Krystal is is very proud of her son for having such a kind heart.
“I’m so proud of my won. He is such a good kid. He may have his days but OMG what 13 year old kid do you know that buys his mom a car… William I love you son and thank you. You have such a big heart and I love you,” she said.
William’s gesture quickly went viral and soon, the media with them showed up at the Prestons.
But William is a good kid and doesn’t care about the publicity or fame. He told KOLO, “I didn’t really want that to happen, I just wanted to do it, that’s all.”
